Saturday 8th April Forum postponed

Hi Everyone

Please be advised that due to the non-attendance of representatives from the Colac Otway Shire the OBCLG Forum will not be held on Saturday 8^th April. There is a meeting on April 12^th of the Otway Barham Catchment Reference Group (comprising Colac Otway Shire, Barwon Water, CCMA, SOLN and its Co-ordinators and Simon Pockley and myself as the OBCLG representatives. This meeting will continue to work with the draft Action Plan. SOLN will be putting forward another potential date for the Otway Barham Catchment Landcare Group- the 29^th April will be put forward.

In the meantime there will be a meeting of the Focus Group: Bruce Costin, Bruce Andrews, Frank Buchanan, Simon Pockley and myself. An issue to be further investigated, that was included in the Letter of Conditional Support, is the maintenance of the existing pipeline. We need to better understand this issue ourselves. I am asking for all people who take water from the pipeline to please outline the arrangements they have with Barwon Water. We also need to better understand what would happen should the pipeline be decommissioned. If you are aware of other options to the current water arrangement with the pipeline- this would also be very useful. Information provided will greatly assist the Focus Group, as well as Simon and I, to be better prepared for the discussions/meeting that are be held in the near future.
